Ode to Coffee

Coffee Ode

Mmm, coffee, how I love thee.
Black and bitter especially,
I’ll have a mug or three.
Cream and sugar, not for me.

Written as a comment the other day and tweaked with Wordle.

  1. We can agree to disagree on coffee, but I would love to hear what you think of The Black Robe when you’re ready. I read The Woman in White and really enjoyed it.

Ditto for when you get to Tolkein one of these days. You know way more about sci fi/fantasy than I do!

Thanks for visiting over at Hotchpot Cafe.

  2. It’s a common case between others and myself.

No problem, I’m curious to see what I’ll think of the Black Robe too since it differs from the Woman in White and the Moonstone, which I really liked.

Tolkien keeps coming up, I might have to read him Soon. Cheers!

  3. I loved The Hobbit, but, haven’t attempted LOTR yet. It’s too intimidating.

As for coffee…. I used to have about eight cups a day. Finally gave it up, and now opt for the much healthier (umm) hot chocolate.

    Cute ‘art’work.

  4. Hear hear! 🙂

  5. Thanks. I can see how LOTR as one big book would be intimidating. Would it be less so divided as a three smaller books? Read the first and go from there?

I used to be at 8 a day. I’m currently on my third and final “my size” (travel) mug of the day.

    Jenn: Hahaha.

  6. uncertainprinciples: Wow, 8 cups a day is rather a lot! How strong did you drink it!?

Jenny: LOL! I immediately thought of you the first time I read this post! 🙂
